Shohei Ohtani has taken the biggest step yet (or, at least, as of late) in his process to return as a pitcher from an ongoing left knee injury. Before Friday’s game at Dodger Stadium, the two-way star threw his first bullpen session in more than three weeks, using what appeared to be his full mix over 34 pitches a couple hours before he was set to serve as designated hitter in the Dodgers’ lineup against the Milwaukee Brewers.
