The Big Island is expected to begin to see rain from Lala by midday Friday, and downpours are expected to intensify through the day. A Hurricane Warning is in effect for the Big Island and a Tropical Storm Watch in effect for Maui County, including the islands of Maui, Lanai, Molokai and Kahoolawe.
