Trump to unveil historic nationwide drop in violent crime during Long Island visit

President Trump is hitting Long Island on Friday to unveil a new FBI crime report showing the largest year-to-year decrease in violent crime ever recorded, the White House announced. Trump is planning to tour the Nassau County Police Academy in Garden City along with GOP gubernatorial candidate and Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman then will hold a news conference on the specifics of the 2025 Crime Statistics Report, joined by Attorney General Todd Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel. “President Trump promised to make America safe again and the data proves he has done just that,” said White House spokesperson Lauren Bis.
