Small SoCal business fumes at ‘power’-hungry local official after its utilities were cut during a permit dispute, family claims

A SoCal family business is feuding with a local city councilmember after he allegedly told the city to shut them down. Ontario City Councilmember Alan Wapner allegedly told the sibling owners of Treasure Banquet Hall that he holds “the power in this city” as their business remains without electricity after the city cut the power over a permit dispute, according to ABC7. Marianne and Andrew Hanouneh described the enormous impact the closure has had on them over the last year and a half at a city council meeting Tuesday.
