Freddy Peralta’s stat line isn’t getting any better even after he was traded by the Mets before Monday’s deadline. The right-hander was supposed to help the retooled Mets roster this season, but things never panned out quite the way either side hoped, and he was dealt to the Rays, who got a taste firsthand of the struggles Peralta has been dealing with. He lasted all of 3 ⅔ innings in his first outing for Tampa Bay that saw him surrender seven runs on nine hits – all earned – while also giving up a pair of home runs.
