Hero sheepdog takes charge of SoCal rescue — with unexpected move to aid first responders

A little white sheepdog unexpectedly became the hero of the day, stepping in to help first responders land a helicopter during an emergency in Orange County. The Laguna Beach Police Department and the Laguna Beach Fire Department personnel were called out for an emergency on Friday in the foothills, the department said in a post on social media. While units on the ground worked to clear the trail so the helicopter could land, a pup in charge of a herd of goats — who were in the way — sprang into action to aid in rescue efforts.
