San Francisco 49ers general manager John Lynch gave an update on head coach Kyle Shanahan’s condition Saturday morning after news broke that he suffered major injuries in a car crash earlier this month. Lynch said in a press conference that Shanahan is suffering “lingering effects” from the severe concussion he endured and is being “basically” treated like he’s in an NFL concussion protocol. The executive noted Shanahan will be out on the field for training camp “to what he can tolerate.
