Now, a newly published study reveals that the space rock — named “Hillsborough” — contains a wealth of amino acids and organic compounds, marking it as one of the most scientifically significant meteorites ever recovered.   On July 16, the rock entered Earth’s atmosphere at a speed of 32,000 miles/h past the Statue of Liberty.
