Pickleball player allegedly jolted into air by electrified fence at Olympic Training Center sues city

A Chula Vista woman is suing the city after a pickleball game allegedly turned into a high-voltage nightmare. Renee Love was allegedly knocked unconscious after leaning against a fence that was carrying more than 100 volts of electricity.   Love said she leaned against a black chain-link fence to her breath on the sidelines of the Better at Pickleball courts at the Chula Vista Elite Athletic Training Center on August 19, 2025, according to a report from the Times of San Diego.
