A drunk 84-year-old Florida man tried to burn his longtime lover to death when she dumped him after 42 years — leaving him with a horrifically burnt face in the process, according to police and his mugshot. Franklin Davis and the woman had just recently ended their decades-long relationship when they got into an argument Friday while parked in a 7-Eleven parking lot in Oakland Park, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. Davis, who had been drinking, suddenly produced a gasoline-filled bottle and doused the dashboard and front seats and set it alight while they were both inside, CBS News reported.
