A DC federal judge blocked the Trump administration Monday from consulting a revamped database of personal information, warning that the White House had “knowingly trampled on the privacy rights of American citizens in a manner that threatens the sacred right to vote. ” The Department of Homeland Security upgraded its so-called Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) system in response to President Trump’s March 2025 executive order meant to ensure only Americans vote in national elections.
