A grisly discovery in southwest Fresno has added a new layer of uncertainty to an already disturbing homicide investigation after authorities recovered a second body from a canal connected to a case involving a slain woman and a missing man. The latest find was reported Tuesday when the Fresno Irrigation District alerted police to what appeared to be human remains caught against a concrete barrier in a canal near Glenn and Webster avenues. Officers responded alongside crews from Fresno Fire, the Fresno Sheriff’s Department and American Ambulance, eventually recovering the body of an adult from the water.
