The NYPD commissioner revealed Monday that there has been little movement on Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s key initiative of removing cops from mental health calls. “Those conversations have not yet commenced,” said the city’s top cop, Jessica Tisch, when asked during a City Council hearing if the NYPD has discussed any policy changes with the Office of Community Safety.
