After all these years, with this sort of borough proximity, you’d think maybe the Mets’ bad luck might occasionally transfer to the traditionally successful Yankees. Or vice versa.   But no, the pinstriped team with 27 World Series titles and 33 straight winning seasons continues to be unaffected by its unlucky New York neighbor.
