An entitled traveler forced a Delta plane to return to the gate because she refused to hang up her phone before takeoff — prompting outraged passengers to chant “get off the plane. ”  Shannon Marie Harris, 46, was asked by flight attendants to end her phone call after boarding a Delta Air Lines flight from Miami International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Monday, April 27. But she refused and became “belligerent” just before takeoff, leading the pilots to turn the plane back around to the gate, where everyone on board was asked to deboard after she wouldn’t leave as asked, according to WSB-TV.
