A Department of Homeland Security counterterrorism official was placed on administrative leave Wednesday amid an internal probe of her having billed a “sugar daddy” ex-boyfriend out of $40,000. “Julia Varvaro is on administrative leave as a result of the investigation and she is no longer serving in her capacity as a Deputy Assistant Secretary at DHS,” an official said Wednesday after the Daily Mail first reported the accusation. Her ex-boyfriend, identified by the outlet as divorced business executive Robert B.
