Horror as man is set on fire, beaten in downtown Los Angeles

A horrific incident unfolded in downtown Los Angeles as an elderly man was assaulted and set on fire by a man now in police custody. LAPD responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call early Monday and arrived at the scene to find a 70-year-old man injured and set on fire. He was transported to the hospital in “critical condition,” authorities confirmed to the Post.
