Garret Anderson, Angels’ World Series champ, dead at 53 in medical emergency

Garret Anderson, a three-time All-Star who spent the bulk of his MLB career with the Angels and became their all-time hits leader, died Thursday, the team announced. He was 53 years old. Anderson suffered a medical emergency at his Newport Beach, Calif.
