A private plane skidded off the runway at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey Monday night, shutting down operations for about an hour, according to officials. The Learjet 60, a midsize business-class jet, overran the runway and came to a stop after going into a bed of collapsible concrete blocks, known as an Engineered Materials Arresting System (EMAS), at the end of runway 24 around 6:30 p. m.
