Mike Krzyzewski uses Bill Belichick dig to throw cold water on UNC’s Mike Malone hire

Legendary Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski used Bill Belichick’s first season as head football coach at North Carolina as a reminder to Tar Heels fans not to get too excited just yet about the hiring of NBA champion coach Michael Malone to lead the men’s basketball program.   Krzyzewski was appearing on “The Pat McAfee Show” on Monday when news broke that Malone was being brought in as Hubert Davis’ replacement. Malone comes to Chapel Hill with plenty of experience as an NBA coach and having won an NBA championship with the Nuggets in 2023.
