Giants sign Lucas Patrick for offensive line competition

The Giants might be willing to trust a man with two first names. Lucas Patrick, who has started 65 games at center and guard over a nine-year NFL career, signed with the team Tuesday and will enter the mix to fill a potential opening at starting right guard. The signing provides insurance against the possibility of losing free agent Greg Van Roten, who hasn’t missed a snap in two years at right guard and also provides emergency center flexibility.
