Michigan State’s Tom Izzo ‘talked seriously’ about Suns head coachig job last summer

Tom Izzo nearly left East Lansing for the NBA last summer.   he legendary Spartans head coach said on “The Dan Patrick Show” on Wednesday that he “talked seriously” with the Suns, whose owner, Mat Ishbia, played under him at Michigan State, about their head coach opening. “I was a lot younger but I have [had] more than a couple of job offers in the NBA and looked at one last year with Phoenix,” Izzo said.
