A memorial outside 16-year-old Ka’Mardre Coleman’s Brooklyn home was filled with dozens of friends and family remembering the standout Sheepshead Bay Sharks football player whose life was cut short when he was shot in the chest inside a NYCHA building in the neighborhood Monday evening. Tearful mourners released balloons in the shape of the number 5 — the teen’s football and basketball jersey number — and held heartbreaking signs that read “Forever 16.
