A New York City public school teacher is facing federal child porn charges after he was caught with a thumb drive of disturbing images, Brooklyn federal prosecutors said. Joseph Taylor McKeel, a science teacher at Independence High School in Hell’s Kitchen, was arrested Wednesday morning at his Brooklyn home after authorities found him with 150 images of child sexual abuse that he got from a social media app, according to a criminal complaint. McKeel — who used the online username “NYSubSlut” — was discovered by the FBI after undercover operatives with the Scottish police first spotted him trading child porn over Zoom in September with an online group, called “Just guys and football” — who were suspected of sharing child porn, the feds said.
