Team USA hockey gold medalist Jack Hughes has said he and his teammates are “super excited” to meet with President Trump after they were invited to the State of the Union following their success against arch-rivals Canada. “We’re so proud to represent the US and when you get the chance to go to the White House and meet the president, we’re proud to be Americans and that’s so patriotic,” Hughes, who scored the winning goal in Sunday’s 2-1 victory, told the Daily Mail Monday outside the squad’s Miami party. “No matter what your views are, we’re super excited to go to the White House tomorrow and be a part of that.
