The 800th episode of “The Simpsons” airs this Sunday and, by now, has firmed up its place in popular culture for kids, parents and grandparents alike. Into its 37th year on the air, the most successful animated series of all time’s highly dysfunctional titular yellow family still have Americans doubled over with laughter on Sunday nights.   The show is also one of the top US cultural exports, broadcast in around 200 countries in languages as diverse as Arabic, Czech and Luxembourgish.
