Jon Hallford, one half of a Colorado couple at the center of the dastardly scheme, was sentenced to 40 years behind bars — just a decade short of the maximum sentence his victims begged the judge to impose. Jon’s ex-wife, Carie Hallford, was also complicit in the years-long ploy.
