The horrific death of an Olive Garden cook who threw himself into the restaurant’s deep-fryer in an apparent suicide was so jarring even the emergency dispatcher broadcasting the service call sounded shook-up. “A male victim went head-first into the … fryers,” a male voice said with a pregnant pause over the Lycoming County Fire and EMS radio on Jan. 30, moments after calls started coming in.
