Kathy Hochul remains confident Jessica Tisch will stay on as NYPD commissioner

Gov. Kathy Hochul on Saturday said she remains confident Jessica Tisch will stay on as NYPD commissioner under NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani. “I really don’t want to speak for her, but I wouldn’t be standing here [saying] I think she’ll be the next commissioner if I didn’t think so,” Hochul told reporters at the annual SOMOS political retreat in Puerto Rico when asked whether she’s encouraging Tisch to work for the socialist Mamdani.
